Our LinkedIn profile views indicates how our efforts are paying off on LinkedIn, more number of views means more chances of getting spotted by your clients/customers/target audience. LinkedIn profile views stat is also an insight to know our profile performance. It shows how many times our profile is viewed in last 90 days. Here I am sharing few tips to increase our profile views on LinkedIn.
Display Picture: believe it or not a perfect DP plays an important role to increase your profile views, unlike other platforms the definition of a good DP on LinkedIn is different. It should be professional, a close-up picture is always better, do not emphasize on background in DP. Your DP is the first thing that grabs the attention of your viewers, choose it wisely.
LinkedIn Headline: a short, simple and unique profile headline can set you apart from the crowd on LinkedIn. Remember, whatever action you take on LinkedIn, 3 things are visible to all; Your DP, Your Name and Headline. How effectively you use them will define how good your profile will perform. You can use few catchy keywords related to your business/Job/Services in your headline. That grabs the attention and people are more likely to click on your profile to know more about you.
All star profile: complete your LinkedIn profile details with all the basic required information and make it an All Star Profile. These profiles perform better on this platform.
Keyword optimized profile: be found on LinkedIn when people are searching the keywords related to your job/business/services. Increase your visibility by optimizing your profile with relevant keywords. The best place to mention them is your headline, experience, key skills and bio.
Active engagement: be actively engaged with your connections by participating in the discussion, joining few relevant groups, wishing people on their achievements. Initiate few topics for discussion, share your story, share your views on a specific topic. You need to be consistent on this platform to be visible else very soon your views will do down if you remain inactive. Spend 5-15 minutes a day and that will be enough to keep you visible.
Cross promote your profile: Publish your article on LinkedIn and share it on different platforms. Claim your Vanity URL and mention it on other platforms, in the signature, with the blogs. If you have a website you can also integrate “LinkedIn Profile Badge” to your website to get more people notice your profile.
Grow your connections: more connection means more views. Start growing your connections, send connection requests to few people who are your target audience, can refer your business, would be interested in your expertise, may be looking for the information which you share with your network and people from the same industry, business, profile etc.
Start with these simple tips and very soon you will notice the results. If you do it aggressively within a week your profile views will start increasing and will get much more views in less than a month. LinkedIn is the platform that pays back much quicker than any other platform. To remain visible you need to be regular else your views will go down by reasonable number within a week or so. Spend minimum 5 minutes daily to remain active as mentioned in my LinkedIn Productivity hacks blog.
